Ingredients:
For the chicken:
• 600 g chicken breast (sliced into fillets or strips)
• 1 tsp sweet paprika
• 1 tsp garlic powder
• ½ tsp ground cumin
• ½ tsp ground black pepper
• Salt to taste
• Juice of half a lemon
For the rice:
• 250 g basmati rice
• 300 g broccoli (cut into small florets)
• 1 tbsp olive oil
• 1 garlic clove, chopped (optional)
• Salt and pepper to taste
• 1 tsp dried herbs (oregano or thyme)
• 500 ml hot water (or vegetable broth)
Preparation:
1. Season the Chicken
1. In a bowl, mix the paprika, garlic powder, cumin, pepper, and salt.
2. Add the chicken fillets and coat well. Let it marinate for 30 minutes if you have the time — the flavor gets even better.
2. Cook the Rice
1. In a saucepan, heat the olive oil and sauté the chopped garlic for 1 minute (if using).
2. Add the rice, stir to coat in the oil, then pour in the hot water or broth.
3. When it starts boiling, add the broccoli on top, lower the heat, and cover.
4. Let it cook for 12–15 minutes until the rice is done and the water is absorbed.
5. Fluff with a fork, season with salt, pepper, and sprinkle with dried herbs.

1. Heat a grill pan or frying pan over medium-high heat.
2. Cook the chicken for 3–4 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through.
